DrinkLyze (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (“App”).
a. Information You Provide:
- Account Data: When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and profile photo. If you use the app as a “Guest,” we create an anonymous identifier.
- User Content: Messages, photos, and interactions you share in the “Lounge” (Chat) feature.
- Support: Information you provide when you contact us for support.
b. Automatically Collected Information:
- Device Information: Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers (for functionality and security).
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including scan history, features used, and engagement duration.
- Location Data: Approximate location data may be collected by third-party ad partners (like Google AdMob) to show relevant ads, depending on your device settings.
c. Camera and Photos:
- We require access to your device’s Camera and Photo Library to allow you to scan drinks for AI analysis and to share images in the chat (for Elite members).
- AI Processing: Images you upload for analysis are processed using artificial intelligence models (Google Gemini). These images are processed to provide the analysis and are not used to train public AI models without your consent.
d. Financial and Transactional Information:
When you purchase a subscription (DrinkLyze PLUS or ELITE), the transaction is processed entirely by the Apple App Store. We do not collect, access, or store your credit card numbers or billing information. We only receive a transaction identifier and a digital receipt from Apple to verify your purchase and provide access to premium features.
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and improve the DrinkLyze AI analysis service.
- Manage your account, “Credits,” “Streaks,” and “Daily Quests.”
- Facilitate the social “Lounge” features and moderate content.
- Process subscriptions (DrinkLyze PLUS & ELITE) via app store providers.
- Display personalized advertisements (via Google AdMob) to keep the basic version free.
- Send push notifications regarding your streaks, rewards, or chat replies.
- To manage and maintain your auto-renewable subscriptions, including verification of active status and processing of renewals through the App Store.
3. Third-Party Services
We may share data with trusted third-party services that help us operate:
- Google Firebase: For authentication, database hosting, and analytics.
- Google AdMob: To display advertisements.
- Google Gemini AI: To process image analysis.
- RevenueCat & Apple App Store: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription logic and the Apple App Store for payment processing. These services may collect information related to your purchases to ensure seamless delivery of premium content across your devices.
4. User Generated Content (Chat)
Information you share in public Lounge rooms is visible to other users. We are not responsible for how other users use this information. Please do not share sensitive personal information in public chats.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Retention: We retain your analysis history and account data as long as your account is active.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the App settings. Once deleted, this action cannot be undone.
6. Children’s Privacy
DrinkLyze is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
